my plants are pearling!!!!!!!!!

How cool is that?! Is that a good thing?

The only thing I can think that's different is I've only just taken gf225s advice and today was the first day I did the 5 hours on 2 hours off 5 hours on. Is that too much light in a day? All the plants have gone made...there's bubbles floating to the surface everywhere!

Well done. It is nice to witness photosynthesis in action. You know you are doing things right when the pearling lasts all week - not just after a water change when co2 levels are up.

Pearling is a thing of the past for me at the moment - I'm running 1 WPG in an attempt to rid some algae.

did you do a water change this morning by any chance?? the lights out period will not make the plants pearl just helps kill the algae.

10 hours is fine

no I haven't done any water changes yet. That's why I thought it might have been the 2 hours off that did it. It's the only thing that's different.

I thought the fishless cycle guide I'm reading says to do one at the end when you get fish.

My boyfriend just got our fish tonight, he is acclimatising them right now. I was going to do the water change when I got home today.
