My Photo Journal - Dual 55G Tanks

There are two filters.
Quoted from my sig:
"Pengiun 330 Filter
Aqua-Tech 20/40 Filter"

You just can't see the pengiun 330 from behind the light. :)

I added a cave (my pleco went straight for it, now he is hiding in it. :)

Since my Pleco doesn't seem to like sand, and the first cave has a sand bottom, I built him a cave. :) Now I just need the background and for him to figure out the cave is there. ;)

Here is my Pleco hiding in the first cave...

He is the only fish slow enough for my camera to get a decent picture of, but this one isn't so good because he is hiding....

More pics now that the bottom one is settling. I have two heaters in it at the moment since I'm not sure on the wattage of one of them. That is why the Tetra submersible is up front. If the other one will hold temp, once it gets to temp, I'm going to use it.

I also got the 4 foot light working! :D Time for a grow bulb! :D

Top with the 4 Foot Light.

Both tanks as of right now:

I moved my aqua-tech filter down to the bottom tank so I could start it cycling and get some filteration going to clear it up and move the water to get the heaters working better.

I obtained some plants today and made more changes to the top tank. Kind of cloudy from silt and the air bubbles python puts in. :( One downer about the pythons, very ariated water..... :/

It's about 1 Foot front of the tank on the left hand side.

Yeah, I know all about Windows and Algae. ;) I have mini blinds to help, I open it for the plants though.

Once I get the stands built and hoods done, with proper 3 or 4WPG lighting I will be leaving that blind closed all the time.

Right now I have 1 common Pleco in the top tank and none in the bottom. Look towards some less common pleco's that don't grow as big for algae eaters in the future. :)

Now that I found my battery charger I can do an update. :D

This was a few days ago, it's the one that raised enough silt to cause a couple water changes. :/ I lost the heater on the bottom tank, so I have put it aside for a bit. I want to get the top tank done first and I still need to get a better lighting system.

I updated when I recieved more plants, but there are still more changes to come. I need to do another water change later (cycle reasons) and the large sword is coming out along with the jungle vale (it keeps getting tangled in the filter. :/). :) Thanks to Bangin for the plants! :D
