My pet rabbit gave birth to a litter of four healthy babies.4 days after giving birth we found three babies dead out of there nest and she must have eaten the other,all three looked like they had been perfectly healthy babies until we found them?? Will this happen if she gives birth again or is it a one off?
its probly a one of, normally rabbits or other small rodents (not guinea piggies though) will eat thier first litter (not all ways ) but most of the time. They dont noramlly know what to do first time round.. but by thier second litter for some reason they know not to eat/kill them.. so i would try again if you wanted to have a litter.
