My Parrots Laying Eggs Or What ?

i have a 55G tank and have a pair of parrot , albino oscar and pink convict .. from last 3 4 days my parrots are hiding behing the castle and which ever fish comes to that site they chase them away and they are digging the gravel behind the castle first i taught its on so i levelled the gravel then again it was dig up behind the castle other tank is all ok no digging only that side is digged up i wonder if they are trying to lay eggs or parrots are like this ??

I may be wrong, but I think parrots are incredibly hard to breed, due to most fish being sterile.
If you have got two fertile fish, congrats! And this does sound like breeding behaviour...
