parrots cna be a bit aggressive, can you give us some more details of your tank, what size is it, what fish do you have and how many of each species, what size are all the fish at the moment, how long has the tank been running, what are your current water stats?

ok, i appreciate youre only young, but none the less if you take on responsibility for looking after any animals you need to do some research so you know how to care for them properly.

i hope this reading isn't too heavy for you, but to help your fish out of this situation you need to understand what's causing the problems so that you can fix it. if you're confused about anything then please let us know and we'll help you out all you can. don't mean to be patronising but it may be a good idea to get one of your parents to look through this stuff with you as it can be a bit tricky to get your head around.

firstly if the tank is new it's fairly likley it wasn't set up properly for fish before you added them, this means you need to take some action to rectify the problems, the link below should explain everything.

secondly if your parrot fish are blue then they have been dyed, this is a pretty gruesome practice and one that the fishkeeping world is trying to get away from. I'm not gonna post a link about this as I think it's pretty gory reading for a 12 year old, but it's something you should be aware of and if your parents want to know more and go through it with you then get them to send me a message and i'll send some info to them.
