My Oscars have laid eggs

Can any one help.

My oscars have laid eggs, unexpectedly.
I think they are fertle, because of their tan colour, but the eggs were floating about freely.
I have contained them now, but how long should I expect them to become fry?
They were laid a week ago.

The eggs should adhere to the hard surface they lay them on and hatch within a few days, so it sounds like it won't happen.
