claen thats what we like. what are going to do with the fry? raise them or give them away

Those shells will release calcium into the water, and raise the Ph. I would take them out, they may end up killing your fish.

Other then that, it looks nice!

Very nice and clean tank u have. I liked the decoration and the plants. Nice fries, they look cute.

I have had the shells in my tank ever since I got it, so I think that my fish are used to the hard water now. I have had my tank for 10 months, and only one neon, and two guppies have died, and the neon died from an unknown parasite. I probably wouldn't have put the shells in my tank now, but I've like them and they don't seem to be causing any problems. :D

I'm going to keep a few, and I am going to give away the rest. Also their mom is pregnant again . This time they are going to be born into the main tank. I have some fake floating plants that are still being rinsed though, so they will still have a pretty good chance of surival.

well good luck love to see some piictures of your fry. BTW i shells in my tank it did nothing

Well I have a few shells and coral fossils in my tank as well and they never causes any problem. I have had them in my tank for 2 years now and a fish has never died. But I did buy a reef kit that tested for calcium so I can make sure the shells did not have dangerous amounts of calcium. Before putting them in the main tank I put it in empty tank I had. Then i filled it up with pure water. Then I kept on testing until the calcium levels were safe to put into the main tank. I took precaution and the shells have never brought any problems. Plus the fish seem to enjoy them in the tank.
