Where did you get the floating frogs from? How big do they get? Never seen them around here...
thank you :)

the frogs are from petsmart where i work :)

i have never seen them either and apparently they arent very common. i could only find one good website about them but i did find a few pages in an amphibian book (some of the info seems to be wrong though)

i dont think they get much/any bigger then they are now. i think max 1.5 inches.

the betta took a few nips at the adfs when i first put him in but hasnt since. he has ignored the floating frogs, except when they bump into him...

i just noticed that one of my adfs just shed his skin...there is a little froggie body suit floating around...

I like the look your the black cobbles for the substrate, although that a small layer of sand to cover the glass up.

just a note you NEED some kind of wood for the clown plec, there not a very good algae eater but prefer a nice bit of wood to nor on.

Sorry, I don't have a digicam, but I will in 6 weeks. :/

I have 2 in a 2.5g with a betta. It's only filled 3/4th up. It has sand substrate and 2 pieces of bogwood lodged in the sand so they stick out of the water. It also has hornworth and a ton of duckweed floating in the tank. Mine were rather skittish every time I would lift the hood, but now they have calmed down, and expect food. Plus their tank is in the kitchen, so that helps.

The betta is my most peaceful betta I own. Most of my bettas would attack them I'm afraid. I have them in a 2.5g because it's the only small tank that is COMPLETELY sealed. It's a $9.99 Petsmart special. They are incredible jumpers. When I bought mine, one jumped out of the plastic fish-holder into the garbage (he's fine, we dug him out, and I kept him :p ).

When you say "2 week crickets", do you mean "a few crickets twice a week"? :dunno:
I've been giving them a small one each, every other day. One will shovel Hikari bloodworm (freeze-dried) in his mouth, the other flees from it. They both will eat live blackworms, but the betta has figured that out, so I've been trying to feed them blackworms out of a medicine dropper.

Also, what site do you have? :dunno:

This is all I've got:

http://www.wildherps.com/species/O.lima.html

Info is scarce. -_-

i mean 2 week old crickets.
i throw 6 in there every other day for 4 frogs.

the site i found is
http://www.polliwog-design.com/ricepaddyfrogs.html

there is also a little bit of info here
http://allaboutfrogs.org/info/species/floating.html

my friend (who works with me) scooped them out of the tank (since we arent allowed to bag our own fish) and 1 got away and went hopping down the aisle as we were both runnign after him  hes ok now though :)

they seem to chase each other sometimes too, they can scoot across the tank in half a second. i just have some cardboard over the top of the tank and i know that isnt strong enough so thats why the tank is half way full.
