So awhile back when i first started my 29g i put galaxy rasbora/celestial pearl danios in my stocking list. After seeing how hard it was to find them i gave up. After about 2-3 months of looking at other fish and changing my stocking list i stumbled upon my favorite little critter today. At petco today i noticed this little guy peeking out behind a piece of wood in the tank with peppered cories. Because the lights were off i couldnt get a good look so i asked the man to move the wood so i could see what it was. To my surprise there were 5-8 galaxy rasboras. They were untagged so i didnt know a price and i knew id rather spend all my money on thse guys than ghost shrimp (sorry shrimp lovers). I bought 5 for 3.49 each and about 15minutes after releasing them in my tank they were zooming all around checking out their new home. Im so glad i bought them, it was either them or dwarf chain loaches. Heres two pictures i managed to get without them being halfway out of frame or completely out of frame because of how wild they are.

Their colors a bit pale because this was after i put them in and turned on the lights. Ill get a few more pictures that are better sometime soon.

Lovely pics, I've got 8 in my smaller tank.

Mine were pretty shy for a while but right characters now!!

Enjoy them :)

A happy beginning became a sad ending. They all died except one over the past two days. My tanks perfect, pH is 7.4, ammonia is .25ppm, nitrite 0ppm, nitrate 20-30ppm. I dont get why they died, they were all eating but were shy then the next day theyre all dead. Im going back to the store tomorrow and getting my money back.
