I got three of this today - i couldn't resist - was i right in assuming the red rams are the bolivian ones?
They are very young so hopefully they are 2 females and a male - going by back fins but i do have other tanks to move them into if there is a problem if they are 2 males

PICS could be repeats of same fish lol

yes they do look thin , thats what i said to the lfs so he gave me 3 lots of live food free with them cos i was making a fuss and he wanted me gone :)
they've just eaten a couple of high protein pellets and will be having some live bloodworm in a mo

try some tuna and a little beef thats been simmering for 6 hours so its really tender, snails are good too crushed of course

Good quality flake and pellets, plus some live/frozen will perk them up, I always wondered what people called red rams, now I know they are bolivians, strange the names shops come up with.

I read so much about the different rams before i even thought of getting them thats why i sort of knew they were bolivians but still wanted a check lol
all the fish get spoilt with frozen / live etc so they shouldn't take long to feed up :)

now munching the butternut squash aswell -was put in the tank for the corys , plecs , shrimps and snails but now the gouramis and the rams are munching it too

ehe i had the same problem when i got my rams, they're a bit fussy about their food. I think i have 3 males though :S

these poor things are soo hungry they're eating anything thats in the tank - hence eating the butternut squash - erwww cant stand the stuff - hubby and the fish like it though
