Hi

My new tank has arrived today   and we have started to set it up, but we have found a label on the tank to say we are not to fill until the 18th :( :( so now i have to look at a empty tank.

Roll on Monday when i can fill it up.

Was it a custom made tank? If so, who ever built it is giving extra time to make sure the sealant dries.

Thanks my guess anyway.

I converted a 55 Gal aquarium into a terrarium by siliconing in a shelf that goes the length of the aquarium 10 inches or so off the floor of the tank. The label on the silicone said wait 24 hours for a full cure, so I waited 48. It still wasn't cured and I lost several fish because of it.

It sucks to have to wait (as I know I am waiting on fish I ordered two weeks ago!), but you will be better off in the long run.

Congratts on the new tank!

To bad you have to stare at a empty tank, butat least you got the tank

I would probably wait a bit longer just to be safe. I have found with glues and sealants in the past that once the smell is gone, things are pretty well dry. Might be a conincidence, might not.

I have bought some small plant pots to go in the tank, do i need to soak them before i put them in the tank?

Thank you in advance.

oh well atleast you have got it i think it will be worth it once it is completely dry
