After weeks of silly questions, decisions and spending money i have finally got my tank looking like i had set out too a long time ago.
It's a 102 litre tank with 3 sword tails, common plec, 3 bottom feeder things* and a massive snail.
I bought a load of plants from ebay and a few members on here and got them planted. I'll show a few pictures of my progress and hopefully i'll get a bit of help identifying what fish i actually have and what steps i can take for future fish.

Jut chucked the plants in for a few days until i had time to do a 50% water change and a few clearouts:

Planted the plants, in no kind of order jut so they could start to grow and look good.

Managed to get a few snails sneak in on the plants, i've actually got about 30 of these dotted around now so might need to invest in an assassin snail??

Then my bog wood finally ran clear water after 2 weeks so i got my moss attached using fishing line and got that put in:

The fish love the wood and are swimming in/under/through and seem alot more comfortable having something to hide under/behind.

Here's a few pictures of the fish i want identifying as well as the snail.

Hopefully i haven't got any fish that will clash and i haven't done anything wrong yet :good:

Also i think my two femail swordtails are looking a bit 'fat' could this be some little uns on the way?

Cheers
Phil

Looking good there m8 have you took the plants out of the little pots? they will do a lot better if you do.

Yeah there all out of their pots, they just have a small peice of lead? which came with them to just weigh them down to keep them in the sand for now.

Hows that sand treating you? I have a reef tank but im gonna go to FW, just trying to decide on sand or not.

The sand is good i like it, everytime i do a big water change i sieve out the big bits of black as i dont like them. The fish some times burrow in the sand, but they undig the plants easily. Bought some more fish today, 2 sharks, 1 more plec and 10 neon tetra.

the fish you wanted to know about are corys :) corydoras catfish

OP; I hate to sound be so negative, but those plecs really shouldn't in that tank; they can get to a good foot or two long. What are the 'sharks' as I don't think any of the fish commonly sold under that name are suitable for a tank that size either.

Sorry..

Where does he say anything about sharks? I only see swordtails mentioned. And I see mention of only one plec (still a concern but better than multiples).

And the large snail is an apple snail.

The tank is looking really good

Yes ive had silver sharks and plecs before so onow how big they go too. Ill end up buying a BIG tank when i get my own house. There not gonna get that big that fast. I put a bit of cucumber in the tank and the snail was surfing around on it and its eaten it all.
