Looks great, not too sure on the bamboo plant-heard they rot under water.

Pics- Try turning the flash off and all the lights off in the room....get a much clearer photo.

LOL-Lumpeye there called Lampeyes...look great with the glowing eyes :D
Did you soak/boil the wood as it leaks tannins and makes the water go brown

Good times :good:

i have had the bamboo in their for 3 weeks now, going on a month and one leaf has turned brown, but otherwise is ok.

ok i will try what you said tonight with the flash, hopefuly see all the fish then.

the i boiled it a few times a day for a week, at 1st it let off some brown tan but the filter sorted that out a treat, its fine now!

i was thinking of changing the gravel to a white sand, what are your thoughts, i think it will perk up the tank a bit and give it a bit of vibe?

thanks for your comments JDubz

i just read you other post about the coco House you made, thats so cool!

im on my way to Argos now, did you put any thing beneath the sand?

what plants do you have?

Cheers Shake :)

its just sand, the only live plant in there is java moss in the pile of stones in the middle the rest are fake. :good:

2nd picture down, plant on left is non-aquatic. Some non-aquatic plants can survive for months but will eventually die and rot and this producess ammonia which of course is toxic to fish, so get it out of your tank if I were you.

I don't think your blinds go with your tank. Add a black background perhaps.

Also, get some good lights in there & everything will instantly look 10x better. Arcadia Freshwater or Arcadia Original lights are the kind of combo I'd go for.

That tank is going to turn into an algea nightmare if the sun comes through that window. Those white blinds dont block a whole lot of light.
