Set this up on Saturday, put an 8 year old fluval filter in it from my original tank (which has another fluval in it which has been running for 6 weeks) and then did a water test on the Sunday and showed fine so have put in 6 zebra danios just to assist in getting it up to speed.

Off for another water test this weekend and then hoping to start transferring fish in from my original tank week by week to their new home :)

What do you think?

P.S. I wont go down the real plant route as tried it before and it was disasterous so plastic only plants for me.

i think your fish wil love it

i personally like the more rocky looking tank but i think that one looks very nice

Thank you. I know many people will think it looks rubbish especially compared to many tanks on here but the original tank my fish are in is only about 100 litres and no plants so this is nearly double the size for them and lots more for them to hide in and swim round and I think they will be much happier in the new tank, especially my plec and my 8 year old clown loaches who are a decent size and have out grown their existing tank.

I didn't go for the rock effect because I wanted as much space as possible for my fish to swim in which is why I didn't go for the internal sponge rock coverings for the glass. I was very tempted but they just took up too much room so ended up with the external paper coverings.

The castle is probably not to anyone's taste but me and the Mrs have always liked them and thats what counts and the hollow log (although not that striking in the pics) looks fantastic up close and its perfect for my plec to finally have a home to hide in.

I'm absolutely itching to start transferring my fish in and have wanted a big tank like this for them for years.

Only thing I would say is that the taller plants at the back look too uniform in a straight line (if they are, looks like it from the pic) - could do with maybe trying some silk/plastic ones at different heights.

Other than that, I really like it, especially the castle :good: I'd love a corner tank like yours.
