Here's what I picked up today..... soon to be home to Lola my flower ray.

What are the dimentions of that? Filtration plans?

Just incase anyone didnt realize, i was kidding about the plastic tank thing... I actually was going to get something very similar to that.

Look down...
Rays look nice when seen from above.

Even so, its black. Black absorbs light, would think maybe a lighter color would make the ray more visable.

If anything, black makes the ray more visible. Brings out her color, keep in mind this specific ray is albino(right paul?). Also, look at the bags of sand next to the tank. I imagin that they will go into the tub.

EDIT: I looked at those DIY stands you made paul, the little skinny legs look like they are gonna give way!

This is definetly something that I want to see pics of when finished. How many gallons is it?

It's not huge but 4x2.5 floorspace so perfect for growing on some rays, holds around 75 UK gallons, so around 100 US??

It's going to have a sump filter, just haven't decided on exact design of it yet though.

I am planning to put a viewing window in the front to help to spot any problems faster.

I'll have 1 or 2 tubes over the top.

As space said the black will enhance her colours, she's not albino but her colouring is quite pale.

Wow!! looks great!! good idea on the tub as well.

Love how many tanks you have!! My wife is killing me because i want to get a slightly bigger tank and i even offered to trade in one of my tanks so that i still only had two!!!!
