My New Stocking

yes but as i bought it relitavly small it will only grow to the space it is capable of
in this case about 5" i know thi is called something but i cant think of the name.
if however it does gt too big i will just easily take him/her back to the aquarium.
can anyone answer my question is my stocking ok

That is far to much for that little tank, the common plec would need more than that al on its own so would the clown loach. I'm sure a lot of people are going to tell you the same so get ready.

Oh yeah i think the thing you cant remember is called stunting

You need to get rid of the black ghost knife, clown loach, common plec, and I believe the flag fish. The BGK will get over a foot long.

bloody hell i had well more fish in it an got rid of thm including my
green sev my black upsidedown and my 2 rams and now the tank looks empty.
my tank looks crap and im sorry but im not cuttingdown on any more fish
im sorry

yep i have to agree the common plec will get rather large and so will the clown loaches the black knife fish may also get rather lage and the pictus will get to at least 5" all them for that small tank i way too much

Don't apoligize to us, apoligize to your fish who WILL die.

so basically you're not going to be happy unless someone tells you to get more fish? What's the point in asking?

well there 1 way to solve this if you want to have these kind of fish maybe u should get another bigger tank to put them in in stead of letting them suffer and most likley die

Here we go again. I can't get involved in any more of these types of discussions. I find it so freaking amazing how these people post a question, then end up pissing and moaning over the replies and then tell everyone to shove off. Why do they even post questions like this? Why? They apparently know more than everyone else, so why ask in the first place?

correct me if i'm wrong, but assuming the tank is the standard rectangular type, isn't the rule for the longest fish you can keep #gallons/5? in that case, a 10 gallon tank can hold a 2" long fish, a 20 gallon a 4" long fish, and a 12.5 gallon a 2.5" long fish.

This is called stunting!

I would give advice but you dont seem to listen.

Yes you took back the sev and the firemouth but you added more fish!

If you're not going to listen to what people have to say, then don't post. Simple as that.

Your pleco will get huge. your pictus cat, a good 6". Your clown (which also prefers the company of others) will get huge (up to a foot). Your ghost knife fish will get huge - and it will eat your other fish. Yes, they will only grow to the tank you give it, but that's because you will be stunting it's growth. What does that mean? Ever heard of how chinese women used to hav their feet broken, and forced to grow in tiny little shoes? Their feet stayed tiny because they physically couldn't grow larger... that's what you are doing to your fish.

Again... if you're posting here, and are going to refuse any answer that does not fit what you WANT people to say, then don't post.
