well i just bought a female ram for my other one, my dad bought it cos the only female i vould find was near his work, so im not sure if its bolivian or german, so yeah i just introduced it to the community and immediatly they started swimming together(a good sign) but the male started getting rrrreally aggressive togards the other fish, will this calm down over time or have i made a bad mistake?

he is probably showing off or trying to protect the female? or mabie the site of the female has given him more energy :hey: and made him a bit crazy either way wait and see... he may calm down. as long as he is not constantly chasing the other fish he cant do them too much damage-but if it continues you may need to replace him with another male.

however remember that if the rams spawn they will both be (a least) quite aggressive and territorial with the other fish in youre tank

I would say he will calm down as most cichlids are aggressive around breeding time and/or the introduction of another cichlid can cause some aggression.

see i have a simerler problem, i got both rams the same time one gold one blue, i think one is male one is female tht is what i hav been told but the gold one which i think is the male is gettin rather agressive towards everything it see's they stay like near each other all day and then he will just turn nd chase the female around and then go and calm down in a corner but goes for anything whcih comes near them all the time hes not hurting them just warning them it looks like ????

is this simerler behaviour coz i would like an ansa too
