Didn't know which section to choose to put this topic into so chose here.

New 35L Marina tank with hook on filter (plus old media from cycled tank). Decided to put some real plants into it I believe I have Elodea and Moss Balls which I got with the tank last week.

So last night I added a pot of.......

Lilaeopsis Brasiliensis
Ceratopteris Thalictroides
Alternanthera Reineckil Pink (roseaflia)

I just stuck them in the sand. Me and plants don't generally get on that well lol.

Also added some new friends for Zorro. He now has 6 Endlers and 2 Female Balloon Mollys for company.

So Pictures................

Photobucket for pictures. For your profile pic and avatar you need to resize it, there is a link for one in the newbie bit. Or google resize pictures and loads will come up.

One little thing - when we got our plants the instructions were to take them out of the pots , break the clump up into separate plants and gentle remove all the rock wool before planting into the tank. This way their roots can spread and you get more plants... just mentioned it as you spoke of putting the pots on - ignore me if I've got the wrong end of the stick :)

 no I removed the pots and foam then split them all into smaller sizes before sticking them in the sand. It does read like I've just bunged them in, but then I thought 'they'll see from pics I've not put the pots in too' :)
