I saw this male at my lfs a few days ago. I thought I was fully stocked in my 30 gallon so I told myself no :-( Well then I found a website that worked out how many inches of fish I could keep. Turned out to be 36 inches...Yahhh :kana: Then I was measuring my fish wrong. I assumed my swordies were 3 inches not including their tails when they were only 2 inches. So after counting up my inches I decided to get this boy.

I plan to get a bigger tank in the next month or so. My boyfriend and I went to look at tanks the other day. I saw a 60 gallon with a nice cabinet and even though I couldn't get it that day my boyfriend promised me that I can get it maybe in a month. Even if my tank will eventually be overstocked they will be moved before that happens

As you can see the new boy is still young his sword hasn't fully developed yet. It's just a small little point. He and my older male are getting along just fine. I was so afraid there would be a big clash but it's fine :D

So here he is

I think his pattern is really unique :D For some reason I am attracted to marbled patterned fish :)

Oh he's gorgeous! I'm hoping to get similar markings if I can get Lucy and Lupe my orange/red lyretails to breed with Terrel my black male. I'm glad they are getting along. My 3 lyretail males get along with each other but not with Donovan and Terrel. Donovan and Terrel hang out together a lot (probably because Lucy the lyretail female picks on them).

I hope you can get the new tank soon and fill it up with swordies. Oh, ok, you can leave a little room for the balloon mollys and platys.

There stunning love that first one, good choice, just as good as guppys, good luck with them.

Wow!

I wish my lfs got a few of those fish in stock :D.....mine only sells the mosty basic types of each breed.....but of well they are all beautiful to me :D
