what are you using the string for?

i can't see any java fern, are they really small? or have you tied the swords to the wood? also the is a non aquatic grass in there. The one at the front. It'll need removing as it'll cause ammonia spike in your tank.

Thats nice. Well done.
The background is cool too. Is it resin? is it fixed to the glass?

Have you got a reflector on one of the light tubes?
It might be an idea to put one on one of the tubes and then swivel around to change the lighting effect and depth with that great background.

You don't need to tie the swords to the wood. They do get some hefty roots, so they need pushing into the substrate, This will mean you can get rid of that string. Also, if you do plan on getting anubias or java fern, you can superglue them onto the wood, this gets rid on any unsightly cotton or string.

no, the swords go into the substrate, they only plants you'll really see in the hobby that go on wood is Java fern and anubias.
