Im getting my jewel cichlids 2moro from my lfs. they are a breeding pair and have already had some successful breeding sessions.
Im going to collect them both 2moro and i cant wait, my main question is though, is, how long should i expect to wait before i see any kind of "action" from this couple?
I have heard that a flat surface is needed for the laying of the eggs but ive have yet to find more detail about this. How flat of a surface do i really need? Will ornaments that are in my tank that have a relativelly flat surface (yet not smooth) suffice?
Also what is the best food for them to make them a little more excited? For the first few days should i not feed them, then suddenly give them live food to excite them?
Last thing, i know its best to keep them in their own tank but will adding some yoyo loaches harm them, the fry or the eggs?
Ive put the important things in bold so that its easier to answer my questions.
Cheers guys
P.s. Ill try to post some pics if they're not too shy once in their new home.
