My New Girls?

So I decided to get a couple of lady friends for my male pearl. Me and the guy in LFS were pretty sure they're female and Mr Pearl doesn't seem too bothered by them, he's allowing them to hang out with him. The remind me of a older cool guy with 2 young teens trying to hang about with him! He'll let them stay close for a while, then he chases the young whippersnappers off, but so far so good, they seem to be getting on quite well!

What do you think? Oh and the bottom pic is of teh male's sore head. It's been like that for a couple of months now, at first I thought it might be HITH but it's not getting any worse, in fact I think it looks better. Wait I'll get a before pic..........

Basically I treated him with an internal bac med and melaifx.

Well, 2 days on and they're still getting on like a house on fire. Big bad seems to have reluctantly accepted that he has 2 girlies to look after now and sheilded them like a protective big brother when the dreaded gravel vac appeared.

When would a female be sexually mature? I have no idea how old the girls are, but ehy're only half the size of the male so I imagine they must be quite young. I'm really not bothered about them breeding, just want to see big bad display his colours to full effect!

Ahh, it shouldn't take too long!

My girls were quite small when I got them (and are still smaller than the male) but he started displaying quite early on - within one to two weeks maybe - most notable thing was how vibrant his orange throat got. And his bottom fin (forget what its called, the big one with the finray extensions) occasionally gets a lot of blue/pale purple sheen through it. It's not the best picture, but you can see some of his good colours in my avatar. He's pretty much bright and gorgeous all the time now.
