I just got up and she's breathing very fast, and it looks as though that spot I had pointed out on her side has developed some kinda white fungus on the outter lines of it..... She's also not swimming right.... When she swims it's like she's stiff as a board and can't move. But she goes up for air.
I added some BettaFix, what could this be??? :dunno: :-(

Sounds like a fungus or maybe the formation of something more serious.
If she has a heater, turn it up to 80 and add some salt.

If you can, swing by the LFS and get some fungus cure. Simply Betta makes stuff that works pretty well.

pics would help, maybe someone else has better advice. Good luck!

OrkyBetta is right in that it may be fungus. The only way for us to give you an better idea of what it is or what to do is if we can see a photo of the affected area on your betta.

Doesn't look like she's going to make it guys, I believe it's ich, and it's spreading fast. She is now laying on her side. :( :( I've added BettaFix, but, nothing seems to be helping. :-(

It looks as though that spot I pointed out on her side is growing, and moving up her body. Her entire back half is covered in it, and it's getting an ich like substance on it... any ideas? I just lowered the water for her... Not sure what else I can do.

That sounds like either a fungus or columnaris to me. Anti fungal or anti biotic meds would help. Can you get a picture?

I agree everyone to start with antibiotics...I just lost 2 girls to columnaris. You have to act fast...even if it is true fungus the chances of a secondary infection are high.

Good luck
Sandi

Well this doesn't sound promising then. :-( I just did another water change for her, more salt and bettafix... poor girl. It's heartbreaking. :-( :byebye: :-(
