My New Fish...

So i went to pet shop this morning & got some fish for my tank.

I got 1x albino cory and didnt relise it's best to have at least 3-4 (even though the pet shop never said anything) so i will make another trip sometime early next week - but will the 1 be okay on his own till then?

I also got 4x neons.

They all seem to be adapting quite well... albino cory is very active i must say!

What other fish would mix well with these baring in mind i only have a 35 litre fish tank?

You don't really have room for more fish imo... but you could do some small shrimp if you wanted as they don't put a lot of impact on the bioload.

The cory will be fine until then but the group size is more 6+ not 3-4... this goes the same for neons.

edit: If you can return the albino cory then I'd suggest getting a smaller cory like pygmy or habrosus if they have it. They are much more suited for your tank.

A group of 6 pygmy cories and 6+ neons would do well in your tank.

If you can't return I'd still get more cories. 4 Cories is better than 1. They really are much happier in groups.

Personally I think you can do 6 neons and 5-6 cories but I may be wrong. :unsure:

Biologically I think this may be overstocked for a 10g but space-wise I feel it's ok because neons are in top levels whereas cories are bottom-dwellers. You'll just have to keep a close eye on the water levels.

So get 4 pygmy cories instead of more of the albino ones?

I'll shall do that then, long as my fish will be happy

Lol if you have to keep the albino... then get more albinos. But *if* you can return the albino it really would be best to get pygmys. But don't mix pygmys with albino they won't be as happy and the 1 albino you have will be left out.
