I have had one dragon puffer in a tank on his own for about 3 months and at the weekend i finally tracked down another to go in with him! I was a little worried because my original puffer (lil puff) is very perky and colourful. The new one (big puff) has been very brown and quiet since we got him, i vaguely remember this with lil puff but he is such a little bugger now had forgotten all about it.. anyway i was concerned i had not seen him eat and i feed lil puff shrimps and bloodworm and live food but big puff did not seem enthusiastic enough to catch anything so i have been dangling a cockle on string for nearly 3 hrs on sunday then about 45 mins last night so i thought i would give him a try this morning before i came to work and he finally eat it ! hooray i am so pleased never tried that before and had my doubts it would work! he ate 2 1/2 cockles in total ! :D he is so lovely was worried he was not settling in ! he is so lovely though !

well done that's great! the week before last my suvattii ate dead food for the first time as well! now that you've got him eating dead food, it's a lot easier to get good nutrition into him. Mine will now take anything I throw into the tank without string, not just cockles and mussels (what he started off with)

Yeah i am relieved as he has not settled in as quick as lil but i know he has something a bit more substantial inside him now as the shrimps are mostly skeleton adn blood worms dont have alot of fat ! Lil puff is a little on the tubby side now but its nice to have a bit of weight on them, i always think if they feel a bit off colour if they are a little over weight it gives them more time to recover without getting malnourished and they have reserves to keep the going !
