My New Chicken House

Sung to the tune of 'off to work we go' from snow white and the 7 vertically challenged people

had a chicken house to make,
Was busy nailing,
with my hammer flailing

How much longer will it take?
For the hens to be , in luxury
I ache I ache

with a tap tap here,
a tap tap there,
a thumb whacked hard throw the hammer in the air
and chickens running 'round all the while.

That's very funny! A friend of mine has some rescue hens (ex battery). Her husband built them a wonderful hen house. Up in the air with ramps for the chickens to walk up.

All finished now. Lots of room and around 20 feet of perch space for them. Can you believe the silly things all went and crammed themselves in to the little henhouse again. I had to hoik them all out and put them into the new house which is 12 feet by 5 feet. I will pay for my efforts in pain tonight and tomorrow.

couldn't take pictures as I couldn't hold the camera with my madly throbbing thumb. Besides, I couldn't lift it to my eye cos of my poor arthritic elbows objecting at the abuse I'd given them forcing them to lift the hammer and my legs were shaking at my marathon efforts of getting it all done in an afternoon.
