My New Boesmani Rainbows

Here's a few pics of my new rainbow fish I picked up this week. They're still quite young (and shy) so havent got their colour much yet. Heres a few pics anyway....

ooo that first piccie is lovley ! I've never had Boesmani's (only Red Rainbows) but do love there colouring as they get more mature.

thanks guys - i got 3, they're small at the moment but i;m planning on a new tank soon so hopefully they'll be the first to move into it

hi rixy - i paid £12 for the three, I think thats pretty good for rainbows around here.

nice rainbows sime, i'm down to 1 now.

they are suceptable to mouth fungus so have some myxacin ready for future use.

works a treat (had 2 outbreaks in the year). they are great lawnmowers as well but tend to eat algae more than plants. no idea why, i obviously dont feed them enough.

oh and they need spiritula (sp?) algae in their diet. make sure you have some or they will not thrive

cheers jimboo - whats myxacin? i do have some mouth ulster treatment from when i used to have gouramis - that would probably do? its interpet number 9 "anti internal bacteria" treatment.

yeah they're eating lots of algae - i've just got some panda corys too and they love the algae waffers i got for them.
