well then that sounds excellent. i wasnt sure if you were aware that that might cause algae issues the real plants will appreciate the sunlight. nothing that we can make (tank lights) even come close to what a short period of sun can do for plants!

The Captain has had a pea this morning which cherred him right up. He's been sulking but was flitting about his filter and heater today I think he really needed a tank to himself. Radish is very merry! I'm considering some khuli loaches for his tank. I've added rocks this morning which he immediately claimed as his territory and is constantly patroling he also nibbled pea from my fingers this morning . I love them so much there amazing and are my very first tropical fish. I'm planning new tanks already for when i return from holiday!!

How did you feed him the pea... As I wouldn know how to etc. I hope my betta like the pea as much as yours did

Its easy just take one frozen pea and put in in a little water in an egg cup or something. Then microwave it for about 30 seconds depending on your microwave. When you take it out pinch it between your thumb and forefinger that shd make it pop out of its skin discard the skin and mush the inside bit to pulp. Then either try feed him from your finger (radish did) or like the Captain if hes sulking just let it float to the bottom. You could try half a slice of cucumber too Radish liked it and ate from my hand but The Captain wasnt so impressed lol.

i know my guppies and plattys love the cumcumber so will try the betta on that too... Hope he cheers up soon. Hate to see him like this

Hel come round. I love these little guys, they have so much personality and beauty. I'm going to miss having two tanks in my room when The Captain goes to my partners house . I'm planning on some khuli loaches for Radishes tank though and maybe and ADF tank when i get back from holiday but i will most deffinately be gettin a 5 gal and another Betta. I'm so glad we rescued the Captain, he's just so active now and not just laying bent and curled up on the bottom he's really perked up and is a joy to look at. Radishes colours have also got alot stronger. He's gone from being a faint orange/ pale pink to having deep rich red/ pink spotted a streaked fins and a pale pink body.

Well its nice to hear that you will be looking into getting more bettas. This is what Im trying to get my mom round. To divide my tank and keep males and females (In sections) and breed them after some time. Try and get some nice bettas and money etc to keep my fish and animals feed. Bubbles have done the same with the colours. He kinda looks like a totaly different betta but still pretty and better than ever lol... Also nice to hear that moody old Captain is coming around,

Haha yea he's fine now got a good hangout spot on top of the heater.

I would love to breed someday too. Probably CTs or HMs as the humble VT just doesnt cut it if u want to make it seriouse . But I love a good VT anyway so to all who dont. I'm going to pick up the kuhlis tomoro 3 of em, and may also enquire about job oppertunities at my LFS.
They have the best convict tank ive ever seen! And the only place i know that sells oscars!

vt's are absolutely my fav! too bad they are exploited so badly! id love to breed vt's but with so many out there....
