Hi all

Just a few snaps of my Apisto's. and Cardinal Tetras. I am trying for a South American type Biotope, I will be adding some bogwood (still soaking)

More plants are on order so still a work in progress. Nearly there though

They are lovely :good: I should be getting a pair soon. Where did you get them?

Hi Keithoms

Thanks.

I live in SE London, and got the two girls from Keston Aquarium (Wyevail Garden Centre). The mail is from Maidenhead Aquatics at Polhill (Near Sevenoaks).

I almost got a pair from Ebay, but was beaten at the last minute on the bidding

They are really interesting to watch, I got the females first, when I introduced the male a few days later, the females wouldn't leave him alone. They have all settled down now. The girls have established their own caves. I have to say the male is VERY greedy so have to be careful with the feeding lol.

If I get any decent ones I will be sure to post :good:

The female that has "yellowed up" looks to be ready to breed to me!

Cant believe it - you only just got them and will probably have eggs soon.

Lol. That would be cool. The females seem to be more in "that" frame of mind. The male seems to not know what has hit him. He gets "tail slapped" frequently, occasionally he reciprocates, mostly he looks for food, he is a youngster though, time will tell. The girls have found their little caves, and spend quite considerable time guarding them from the Tetras, and then pouncing on the unsuspecting male at any opportune moment. Anyway a couple more pics for you ;)
