THEY ARE STILL VERY GOOD PHOTOS AND A VERY BIG AND NICE TANK

You may have posted this already... but im lazy and tired and dont feel like looking - what kind of lights are you using?

I love how you have planted the tank. It looks fabulous!

Nice looking tank man, I love it. I like how the neons school tightly like that. Mine do the same thing. That's what I like best about them.

thanx everyone!!

For lights i just have 2 spotlights shining down from the wall.

it was jus temporary at first untill i bought a lid but since then ive tried my 4ft lid with 2 lights in over the tank i dont like it as much!

spotlights give a much more natural look with really cool shadows and light effects.

the proper light jus lit up everything.

looked alrite but this is my natural looking tank.

What kind of lights are they though? ARe they metal halide spot, or flourescent? or something completely different altogether. They do make the tank look amazing.

Well done amazing tank.

erm.... not sure to be honest.

there jus normal room spotlights. not made for aquariums or anything like it.

tried finding a link to one but this is quicker

jus have 2 of them about 1.5 feet above the water line.

I wouldn't have thought that those lights would make the tank look so nice. I wouldn't think that they would be the best for plants, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see how things turn out in there.

Good job. Keep up the great work.

well in the few weeks that its grown, a plant near the front (where the most light shines) has grown a good 2 inches and i did some rearranging and there all well rooted already so its looking good!

Bad thing is the light isnt as contained as a normal tank light so its annoying sometimes.

looking good - but to keep the plants alive you are going to bneed to invest in some good lighting
a couple of hetal halide spot lights would be great.

unfortunalty for a few weeks plants will grow - as they still have energy from their previous environment. once they have used this up (and the growth sport will be them trying to get to the surface to get more light) they will start to deteriate quite quickly :(

u sure?

ive had aquariums with jus lamps on them when i was younger.

and i had a hexagon tank that i never had a lid for so i always used a spotlight of some sort.

platns always did fine.

i suppose this is alot bigger than those tanks.
