My new 40 gal

Here is the 40 gal tank + hood I bought off of ebay about a week ago. I finally got it all set up, and took pix. I still need to re-do the lighting, as what is in there is kinda laughable right now. Eventually this tank is going to be turned into a African Cichlid tank, with the zebra danios being rehomed.

And here is my new betta, who I stilll have to name. But I think he is still georgous.

Beautiful tank, and beautiful betta. I love the look of rocks in tanks like that. I insist on having rocks in most of mine. They just look so much more natural.
And I love those 1 gallon aquaviews. I have two. Gorgeous setup.

His fins look like they are in really good shape. I think he is a double tail-veil tail. The edges around the split are very smoothe. He does have some fringe, which is normal. There is one tiny spot of fin rot, which isn't even on the edges. I'm working on treating that, gotta love the betta in a cup market

Great tank, and cool betta, but just thought I'd say that he's defently not a double tail. It looks like he got a chunk taken out of his fins in a fight or something and it needs to heal. If he was a DT he would have a large dorsal fin and the lobes would be more evenly shaped, even if he was a DT/VT mix.
