My New 2.5 Planted Tank

I just finished setting it up , its still a little cloudy from the sand. Its 2.5 gallons with a 13 watt compact florescent light, a filter and heater. the inhabitants are a betta and two dwarf frogs. The plants are java moss and some type of sword I think . I will be dosing ferts but no CO2.

will the sword in the middle of the tank attack itself the the wood?

I have no idea... but to me that looks like dwarf sublata... but I've never been good at IDing plants...

I have never seen anything like that attached to wood, but I am not that experienced with plants.

i think i recently bought that sword plant. if they are all connected they are what the girl at the pet store called 'chain sword'. it wont stay planted in my gravel it just keeps popping out and floating around. the tetras seem to like it though so this time i'll let it float a few days before i try again.
