is that a trigon 190?

i have that same tank but not for my mbuna. lovely taks but i didnt find it suitable for my malawis. just not enough of a footprint at all. as long as you dont keep so many.

what are you keeping in there?

The second picture is a firemouth. It's a new world cichlid.

The yellows are Lab. Caeruleus, or electric yellows, an mbuna from lake malawi, Africa. The blueish ones are also mbuna of some type (was the bottom one fat like that when you got it?

The two types (new world and mbuna) have different behavior patterns, diets, water preferences, and most importantly, behavior patterns. It's best to choose one or the other. Even if it 'seems' to be working now.

Lose the firemouth and you've got a nice Mbuna tank started. Those rocks and decor create a perfect environment for them too. There's an artical pinned if you're interested in learning more about them.

If you've found yourself attracted more to the firemouth I can give you some info on that, and it would be best to go the other way and lose the mbuna.

The tank an fish are as they were when i got it i added another 4 fish today plus more rock that looks a little like coral rock will update the photos as an when the tank clears up abit i added my 2 spare filters to help with this so shouldnt take that long

Lovely looking tank and fish.

Whats that rock called?

Also really try to do what fredyyk said it definately means a sustainable no worries tank later

The tank is great but personally I would remove your new rock.

IMHO a marine feature with corals etc looks a little out of place in an African set up.
