you nutrafin cycle do the same job as i cant get biospira locally. got a full bottle of nutrafin cycle for christmas form my LFS that i have never used lol.
Again, we seem to be going round and round in circles
You don't come across as listening to the advice being given. You need to be testing your tank water constantly for Ammonia, Nitrites and Nitrates, that is the only way to determine what's going on in the tank and where you are in the cycle. That in turn will tell you when it is safe to add cleanup crew.
The live rock may be 'tuff stuff' but it is 100% guaranteed to have a lot of die off due to the freshwater dip you gave it. This will throw your water parameters into chaos and until they settle you must not add anything.
lol i know i know, it will take a about 3 month or so. i will keep testing the water the ammo, no2 and no3. to keep up with the cycle.
just noticed i got a lil hitch hiker on my last load of LR i got. its like a lil hermit crab thing blue and red legs (from what i can see) hes only about 1cm big (if that) and was wondering what his chances of surviving the cycle are? like i said i added about 2kilos of LR today to help with the cycle.
dint suppose you know what breed he may be do ye?
hes got blue and red legs tho its hard to see coz hes so small
oh yeah and just lemme make sure i got this right... as you know my salt water iq is 0 lol (tho i am learning lots from you guys and i love you for it )
so when i do a water change i heat the water (RO water) to the same temp as the tank, then mix in the salt get it to the same SG as the tank, then remove water from the tank and add the new?
Sounds about right yes, you won't need to do any water changes for a while but at least your getting research in, which is a good sign (after a bad start )
