My Nandus

A piccie of my Nandus - one of my favorite fish

Mind you he wasnt so popular when I put my hand in the tank yesterday and he managed to get about 1/2" of my finger in his mouth - not bad for a fish thats less than 3" long !!!

Well apart from my finger - prawn, mussel, earthworms, lancefish

It will eat most things if they are big enough to interest him and if he sees them falling

Very rarely takes anything off the bottom

It's very tame and never shows any aggression to the other fish - they also leave him alone

Yup but they don't hurt when they do

Funny ive just asked about a pair of fish to go in my 33gall tank with my Ctenepomas and Senegal Polypterus and was advised to lok at Nandus....comedy timing

They look very similar to Ctenepomas in colouration.
