Just realized that my mudskipper has no photo ops, so here's one!

Great looking fish, can we have a full tank shot. I'd really like to see what sort of environment/habitat people keep mudskippers in. Can you also include the tank basics i.e. food, filtration etc. Never seen them in an aquarium before only on wildlife programes.

Very nice!

Be sure and share with the brackish forum, I'm sure some of those people are into 'skippers.

I had an Awaous flavus that would swim onto my hand, albeit underwater. Large gobies seem to be distinctly tameable.

Cheers,

Neale

Will do. I can't second you on the tameable large gobies, for the mudskipper is the only goby I've housed. Do you still have your Awaous Flavus? It's a good looking fish.

WonderBoy, what do you keep your Mud Skipper in?
and where did you get him from?

Thanks, he is in a reptile aquarium that has the dimensions of 4' x 2.5' x 1' (it's filled to apx 9 inches - at the deep end). I got him from my lfs - they can special order them for me for 10 bucks.

Sorry, I have no pictures, my camera is out of town....

I've always loved those guys, but I don't think I'd ever be able to house one. Still....
