My male krib looks bad

early on today i put some agle control (fights of alge)i read the bottle and i put the amount i was ment to


As you may know my kribs will scar off anything which comes near there babys

but i noticed that the male stays still or staying near the top and the fish go right next to him and he does not scar them off


what should i do

Is he gasping, dilute the med with a water change.

If they are not them selves since adding the med, yes just dilute it down with a water change, good luck.

its not looking good i just done a water change and hes just saying near the bottom, i tap the glass and he stays still ( always move if i tap the glass)


the female krib seems fine

why is this

Right is he the only one that is suffering, is he bloated, what does it look like when he goes to the toilet,what do you feed the fish,any flicking and rubbing or laboured breathing, check the gills to see if they are red and inflamed.

i feed him live and flake and sometimes green food. yes hes the only one suffering. dont know about the loo part yet, and the gills seem ok
however know and then he goes to the top (get air i think)

Does he look uncomfortable as though something is irratating him, does he shake or twitch, is his tummy normal or bloated, can he maintain his balance in the water, no scales sticking out like a pinecone.

he can keep his balence. Um when kribs want to warn you off they top fin goes up and that seems to be staying up. he looks normal(not bloated) Yes top scales sticking out (top fin if thats what u mean)

Mean't scales on body, never had kribs, no fungus or anything, could he be stressed due to the med.

i think it could be stress but the thing is he jsut gone off caring for his babys which i think has something to do with the med.
i done a water change
is there anything i could

Looked for bacterial and parasite problems and for now not showing anyhing, just keep an eye on him, and i would remove the med with some black carbon added to the filter.

It's a black sponge you buy it removes meds from the tank water, what filter is it.
