My Male Dalmation Molly

just wanted to show everyone my male dalmation molly . . .

he's paired up with a female dalmation molly as well . . .

but the thing is, he also mates with a silver molly too!

is this a natural thing? haha!

Are they blue? I bred and sold livebearers for YEARS, but have never seen a blue dalmation. Our platies would mix and come out with wild colors, but with mollies it was really rare we'd get hybrids. We might get a creamsicle dalmation or grey dalmation from a black and dalmation mixed or even a black dalmation and white dalmation mix. Never, though, could we get vibrant colors like blue with our mollies. The platies we did, though.

yea he is light/dark blue . . . the coloring is amazing

WOW. That is awesome. They don't have red mollies, or blue, available here. The only mollies sold at common fish stores here are creamsicles, silver, black, and dalmations. At aquarium shops they usually have some wild mollies that are different looking, but never blue or red.

I have two dalmation mollies, both female. They're from the same mom but one is darker. The only male molly I have in the tank is a white lyretail so I'm hoping they'll have some babies (and they won't get eaten) cuz I love the look of the lyretail dalmations.
I saw a mexican (think that's what it's called) molly. Colorings on him I have never seen but of course he died cuz he was from Wal Mart. Usually don't buy from WM but when you see an interesting looking fish, you buy it, right? Or is it just me?

Nice fish... but i've never liked the dalmatian colouring lol i think they're damn ugly!
