My M8 Has A Question

I think this is obviously for him and not his mate!

I have told him in PM's not to add more fish but he just doesn't listen and I know he went to a LFS today.... :(

he was on about hatchet fish in another post today, asking weather they had wings,i think hes thinking of getting them to.

In all fairness, it is also possible to enquire about fish without buying them- where would we be without our day dreams?

Though I appreciate people's suspicions about this "mate", we must also be careful not to be oversuspicious. I seem to remember that bettas asked a perfectly reasonable question the other day about the schooling behaviour of his neons and that other posters immediately assumed he was being silly, just because not all his past posts have been that sensible.

So please, bettas, put our minds at ease- you are not really getting hatchets are you? And these glowlights, are they in too small a tank? that could explain problems. Also, the fact that they are not in a proper school, that does make some fish more aggressive (though admittedly glowlights do not have a reputation for being so).

I have spoken to him in PM and the tetras are his, not his "mates" therefore he has added them to an already overstocked tank and they need to be in a bigger school which he has no room for at all.

How old is he? I can remember when I was younger I couldn't stop buying more and more fish, it was like an addiction. He has to learn that only a certain amount of fish can go together in the same tank.

But Betta, if you plan on buying more fish, you really need more tanks, that are fully cycled. If you neglect your fish, they will not flourish, and are likely to die young, and diseases will start to spread. :(

soory bettas i just asumed by you asking if they had wings that maybe you were identifying a fish you were thinking of maybe getting or already had.

Sorry for sounding like I am bulling, but have you really got a Pelteobagrus fulvidraco in your 15Gal tank like it says in your sig. This needs to be in a tank min 55G, as they grow to around 14"……… :S
