Hello all,

I have two 20G tanks near my front entrance surrounded by tropical plants and trees, to create separation from the living room, and add a colorful and animated distraction.

I thought I would share with you some of my photos for your enjoyment. This is not all of my fish, just the ones I could catch, lol! It's actually a bit of a challenge to get good shots of these little beggars!

Anyway, here's what I managed to get. Let me know what you think?

a few guppies:

a Glo-Lite Tetra (I have two, this is the smaller one):

a Phantom Tetra (I have six, this is the biggest):

Hi Jeremiad :)

Welcome to the forum! :hi:

I enjoyed viewing your beautiful pictures and will be looking forward to seeing more of your posts in the future. :D

Some great pics there, got to love the glowlights :p i want to get some more or wait and get loads of ember tetras(LFS are doing 20 for £12) :D

Thank you for the warm welcome and compliments on my photos. Cameras are another hobby of mine, so I try to do a good job when I take pictures. Let me tell you though, doing full manual focus while following a fish around a tank, and then trying to snap a shot before the little beggar takes off again, is a challenge of patience and grace. lol!

Speaking of pictures, I think I probably should have posted this in the 'Members Aquarium and Fish Pictures' area instead of here, so if a moderator would like to move this post, please do.

Hi GSD, I have two Rams. The first one I bought and put in with the other cichlids in the second tank. He got picked on quite a bit, so I moved him into the community tank and then bought him a pal, seeing as the store only had one left. I was hoping that I would get a male and a female paired up, but I do believe I have two males instead. Not so bad it seems, they do get along just fine (a bit of chasing but no damage ever inflicted), and they don't bother the smaller fishes in the least.

Hi Charlie, I loved the first Black Phantom picture until I downloaded it onto my computer in high resolution and immediately noticed the big long poop trailing under the fish. He was sitting pretty steadily near the front of the tank and I used a macro setting and zoomed right in on him. It was a great shot, but it should perhaps be titled, '#### Happens'.

Hi Howard, yes that shrimp was carrying eggs. Sometime after I took those pictures that shrimp shed his skin and distributed those eggs. I found the skin on the bottom of the tank and thought, 'What the heck happened to my shrimp? He's flat and looks like he got run over by a truck?' Soon after, I found him (or I guess maybe I should say HER) in the tank looking slim and more transparent, and more importantly, alive! I have found a couple of sachels of eggs in some nooks and crannies, but they disappear within a day or two. I don't know if the other fish are getting to them, or the catfish or plecostomus are getting them, but next time I see eggs I will move the shrimpy to the spare tank.

Hi Jdubz, I picked those glo-lite tetras because they have a red line down their bodies that really snap out in the light, and I loved the idea of 'redline' fish, cuz I'm a car nut so that meant something special to me. I had some blue neon tetras as well, but my raspberry and blueberry tetras ate 'em, so I guess I can't have the blue ones as well. That's too bad, because their colors snap even better in that tank.

Thanks to everyone else for taking the time to read this thread and look at my pictures.
