Hey Guys & Girls

OK Dont know where to begin really with this one.

Some of you may know me from the forums as i have been quite active on here alot of the time, Although i have been active i have never uploaded any pictures of my tanks or fish.

SO i thought with this one ill upload some pictures of my latest venture, My first venture into planted tanks. At some point i will get down to writing a journal up on this one, as i have been documenting the whole time with pictures and notes. :good:

Some info on the tank.

Marine Slim HOB filter.
Heated too 26
T8 Lighting on for 8 - 10 hours a day.
I feed the plants with (King British Aquarium Plant food)
No C02 as yet. But it is in the pipeline. Next couple of months or so. :good:

Just finished my cycle. Currently in my Qualifying week. So there is no stock apart from some MTS snails. And some of them are pretty large, But i dont mind them so much.

Time for the pictures. :) Please let me know what you all think "Honestly" I give my opinions on alot of tanks here, and would love some feedback. I couldn't believe how much hard work had gone into it until i looked through all the pics today.

Just want too apologise for the mess on the sand, I took these pictures just before a water change & Hoover up. Sorry again,

How about a bit of moss on the wood ? Maybe a red plant smehwre in the tank aswell to split up the green, something like http://www.thegreenmachineonline.com/products/aquatics/plants/tropica-potted-plants/rotala-rotundifolia or http://www.thegreenmachineonline.com/products/aquatics/plants/tropica-potted-plants/ludwigia-repens

very natural looking, nice bit of wood too good job

I really like this tank. It will be even better when the plants start to grow up and fill some of the top of the tank.

The wood is terrific! I'm hoping to head over to Lake Superior this summer and snag myself a good chunk of driftwood for my 55g tank. Oh, heck, the 20g and 15g too. Love it and I think the fish will, too.

Good job!

I did have some Red Plants in there, And the plant at the front Right, The tall one, has red leaves. but for some reason they have gone green as has the stems. So thats why im getting a DIY setup done tomorrow at some point too get see if it makes a difference.

Thanks guys :) Alot of work has gone into the tank and im really chuffed with the outcome, The bogwood is about 50% hollow from the right hand side aswel. So will create a nice little cave for egg's or cories to live :)

I love the wood. Took me along time to find a piece i wanted in there. Cant wait too see how it develops. But thats two months of hard work. :)

Looks nice, what size is the tank? And what fish are you going to get?

Nice tank, really like the wood thats in there too, im thinking about getting some for mine

T tank is 60ltr's :) Looking to stock with some Cardinals. A few Platies say 5. some Cores and two Dwarf Guarimies. Maybe a Clown Pleco. But depends on what i decide on the final stocking. :)

Really love how the tank has turned out :) excited to see how it develops.

Looks great!
My tanks are not planted but i love seeing how everyone else does it and put the effort in.
That wood is ace.

Thanks mate. :) Loving the feedback. I do want to get some moss growing on the wood. What would be best for that?

Cant wait for the fish too go in :) What do you think of the stocking?

Java moss grows easily. I have weeping moss which I think looks quite nice. I would place some anubias so that they are growing out of the hole in the wood. Stocking sounds good :good: I'm personally not that keen on platies but the other fish are lovely and will add colour.

I know the platties arent amazing fish, But i do want some livebearers in there of some sort. And not too keen on Guppies. As there abit meh haha

i think plattys arent too bad, they come in all different colors, and mine seem to be pretty inquisitive and they eat lots of the left over food, constantly foraging. tank looks great OP!
