Currently no fish as I have only just filled it up
the plan is 6 small angels ( can be moved at a later date as I have a 62 and 72 gallon tank too :p) 4 kribs and 6 botias(yet to be determined)
I want some kind of schooling fish as well, but need suggestions as to what.
I'm thinking rummynose tetras or similar. any other ideas?

For the Schooling fish, What about Copper Harlerquins. I saw some the other day and they have really sharp. bright colours that get brighter as they grow.

I think this is them, though the picture doesn't show their true colours.

I've never seen them, any differance to normal harliquins?

They have a bright copper band surrounding the solid centre marking, and shoal much tigher than Tetras. And do best in a larger group.

oh, the kribs and boatias would bite and nip at the angels. Not a good mix.

I know one kind of loach is a nipper, and I am 50% its the botia, but not 100% sure though.

This is a complete side note but weren't you doing a barb tank The-wolf?

Kribs as fin nippers? I've never heard that... Maybe in a smaller tank, but in a tank this size, they should be just fine. Kribs mainly stay down near the bottom and angels mainly stay up near the top.

I'm not that familiar with botias, but I've never heard of them being fin nippers either :S

Tank looks great  Rummynoses would look great in there :)

Looks very nice :)

For schooling fish, make sure you get something that won't get eaten. Harlequins (regardless of color :p) are great. Tetras with a similar shape to black phantoms are also good choices as long as they don't nip. How about some kind of danio? Anything that won't nip and won't get eaten would do great. I've also liked the combination of scissortails with angels and rosy barbs with angels. Make sure the rosies are in a big enough school if you go this ruite or they'll get nippy.

Have you decided on the botias yet? BTW wrs, botia is a general genus name for several loach species. Some are nippy or aggressive, others are perfectly tolerant and peaceful so there's sure to be some that do well in this tank.

As for the kribs, I agree with parker313. They can be territorial etc but they shouldn't be a problem in a tank this size.

Oh, sorry if the info was wrong. I aked that question about keeping both together in my 55, but many people, some on here others not, said they would nip the angels.

looks great Paul
keep us updated
