So, my kribs have unexpectedly spawned.

The question is what do I do now.

There seem to be about 30-odd live young.

I have no seperate fry tank, but I do have a fry net that hangs on the side of the tank.

Should I seperate them from their parents, so should I leave them with their parents in the main tank ( they should be pretty safe, the kribs are the top fish in the tank)

What do I feed them
what sort of mortality should I expect?
What do I do with 30-odd new kribs?

Any help greatfully recieved.

Thanks

Steve

I've always let them live "naturally" in the tank with the others. The strongest will survive. (Actually, it's the ones that learn staying close to the gravel is the safest place are the ones that survive!) When left to their own devices it seems that four or five will make it.

I know other members will separate them so they can raise all of the fry. I just don't have room for 50 or more kribensis!!

I don't feed them anything special either. Enough of the flake food makes its way to the bottom and they graze on what they find in the gravel.
