hi, i've just noticed that there are some baby kribs in the caves in my community tank. the female is guarding them and the male appears to have been kicked out! i don't know which are the best fry foods? i would prefare to use packet food as live food might bring diseases, right? any ideas as to which is the best. and is also available practically everywhere. also, when should i start feeding them, i think they have just hatched.

thanks

Once they start swimming. The best non live food is probably Hikari " First Bites " It's a powderd food. Frozen food is equally or even more nutritious than live food. A good frozen food is Baby Brine shrimp or Daphnia.

If they are swimming then its time to feed. If your tank is mature and you have live plants it should contain some insuforia but you will need to feed extra. You can buy fry food from most fish shops or on Ebay, but in the meantime you can use very finely crushed flake food. Mix it with a little of the tank water and use a turkey baster to squirt it where the fry are amassing.

hi, i've just seen the parents with about 10 fry swimming about. they must have hatched a few days ago.

feeding still the same?

thanks
