my kh and gh results

well if i did everything right i came out with these numbers. kh was 7 drops so chart =kh of 125.3
gh= 8 drops chart = gh of 143.2
anygood? i added 1 hagen co2 ladder to my 29gal 3 days ago
this is water from the tank. should i do one from tap?

if you wanna measure the c02 levels you should also use a PH test when i looked at your KH i was shocked because it seemed really high but then again my chart indicates in degrees carbonate hardness hehe whew... dunno the conversion though

hey Danski,

I was told to test the same thing, and gf255 kindly gave me these instructions...

To test for CO2 - test your pH - you will need the "normal" range kit. Test your KH - some kits measure in ppm (mg/l) so you will need to convert into degrees hardness. Just divide ppm by 17.9 i.e. 60ppm = 60/17.9=3.4 degrees. Now cross-refer these two readings on a CO2 table - see the link in my sig. Example pH 6.6, KH 4 gives 30ppm CO2 - an ideal situation.
