hi all. i own a juwel rekord 96 which is about 96 litres. the filter in there is quite good but i cant help thinking that i need some extra filtration.... i do not want to remove the internal box filter as this is really too much for me to do.... can anyone recommend a filter that i can use? would internal or external be better? cheers all help much appreciated. :)

We have second filters on all our Juwell tanks because they contain large and/or messy fish.

We chose to go with external canister filters because they take up no room in the tank, but there's plenty of room under the tanks in the Juwel cabinets.

Our canisters are Fluvel 204, 304 and 404, and we're happy with them as quiet, efficent, easily set-up and maintained filters with easily obtained, inexpensive media & spare parts..

Perhaps a Fluvel 104 would suit your Juwel R96.

I've heard great things about the Eheim canisters, but we chose fluvel because of a limited budget.
