As you can see i need a few plants, the ones i have are on their last legs, they were great in their prime though. The coconut is the clowns house, hes the one thats only ever in there, and if anyone does go in....he chases them out. I only got an additional ram last week, so now my older one comes out more which is nice, but usually they hide behind the bogwood or rock, one of the BNs loves to hide on the background...and is a ***** to find when i do a fish count, and all three plecos love the bogwood on the left, they never go on the one on the right.
Currently housing:
May sound a little overstocked, but in my eyes its perfect the way it is. I have a Tetratec EX600, 600lph and my tanks 80L, therefore does the whole tank capacity 7.5 times in an hour. The filter media has established bacteria on, did my first test in about 4 months last week before a water change - and my water hadnt been changed for two weeks before, and all tests were spot on - pH (7.4), ammonia (0), nitrite (0) and nitrate (10-20)
I guess the Plecos are what most will be concerned about, but my Clowns fully grown, weighing in at around 8cm - he hasnt grown for ages. My Bristlenoses are still relatively young, one is about 3cm long, the other about 4cm, depending on what size they grow to and how long it takes them to become larger, will determine if i shift them into my dads tank, but i plan on moving out in the next year and therefore want a bigger tank.
Theres my tank, feel free to criticise - both good and bad.
- Removal of Juwel box filter
- No more sand, now black and white gravel
- Juwel 3D background, better than a stick on
- Another piece of bogwood
- Most recently, last week, one of those Hydor volcano - has red LEDs inside and also the air pump, looks great, especially at night
