home to a golden nugget plec called dave, some amazon swords, a weird bush thing, and some vallis, oh yer not to mention the annoyin snails that shake their shells at each other. tank has been set up for about 8 weeks now, and plec has been in there for 3 days

Very impressive, well done.
By the looks of it you have the small specie of Golden Nugget plec i think. Which dont get much bigger than 7" i think.
Im sure my Golden Nugget eats the snails in my tank so look out for that hehe

a school of rasboras or tetras would look rather good in there IMO.
have you got any ideas of other fish you might have?

thanks for the comments, i am currently thinking about what fish to get, i really like odessa barbs, or cardinal tetras, but i LOVE plecs, if i could get away with another one in there then i definately would put a different one in.

Get a couple of YOYO loaches they will sort that snail problem out ASAP, and i also agree a nice shoal of neons or cardinals would look sweet!

There are small 3 inch pelco's Called Candy Stripe plecos you might enjoy.

glad people like it, it has changed a bit now, i have bogwood in there aswell, as the plecs love them. i will look into the snail eating loaches, thanks for opinions

Do you know where to get odessa barbs from ?? I would like some my self but have never found them

erm to be honest i think there few and far between, i happened to come accross mine at my lfs in wolverhampton, but im sure that your lfs, if well established, could get hold of some, as my lfs are looking into it for me. heres a picture of one of mine in my other tank.
