I have just noticed that my male guppy's tale has been badly shredded, most of the middle part of his tale is missing right up to his body. There are no wounds or fungus etc on him and he seems to be ok apart from the missing tail. I am really worried about him though as have been reading up on this sort of thing on here and concerned that he may get worse and suffer or die. I have recently given all of my females away as i was having 8 - 15 babies a month! I now have around 15 baby fish that i am going to give away tomorrow in the tank and am worried that to many fish may be stressing the fish out? I also have a lot of snails in my tank around 20 which i canno seem to get rid of so some help on this would be appreciated to. Once i have gotten rid of all of the baby fish i will be left with just four males including the injured one. Please help i would really appreciate it, thank you.
