She had fry last night. she ate them all but one. He is almost black and a little smaller than Charm. So now I have Charm and Shadow.

Congratulations on the one at least. Colors change, so names may not apply later. I had a half black, half light yellow Molly split down the middle, which is now completely light yellow. The name bird poo doesn't apply anymore.

Whereabouts in CA are you?

I live near Palm Springs. So since its the middle of the desert I do not get out much in the summer

You got any hiding places? I didn't even know any of my fish were pregnant til I found fry!! I still don't know who 'mum' is or how old the fry are. I know for certainty there's more in the tank but I can't find them.
